Indigenous Kids – Proud at Corooboree Parade Sydney
There is a certain emotion that is roused in the heart and a tingle up your spine when people gather with passion and conviction. We feel it at protests, we feel it in parade’s of our sporting heroes, and we feel it when over 3000 indigenous kids from around NSW take to the streets of Sydney as they did in the Gurung Parade to open the Coroborree Sydney Festival for 2014.
“…and we feel it when over 3000 indigenous kids from around NSW take to the streets of Sydney”
They are the future of indigenous culture and reconcilliation in our nation and our land and they marched with pride from Hyde Park down Macquarie Street to the Botanic Gardens. Non indigenous and indigenous people alike could not fail to see the smiles and they are a beacon to all. Well done to all the Gurungs, Jarjums, kids Australians everywhere were watching you and we could all feel it.
